Aftercare
FUE recovery is quick and low-drama. Here’s exactly what to expect, and the simple rules that protect your result.
Days 1–3: mild tenderness and tiny scabs at each graft — like a light sunburn. Days 4–7: scabs flake away with gentle washing. Most people return to desk work within a few days.
Around weeks 2–4 the transplanted hairs shed — totally normal. New growth starts at month 3–4 and reaches full density by 12–15 months. Because we’re local, your follow-ups are in person. See the full month-by-month timeline.
Here’s the realistic timeline most patients follow:
The grafts are most vulnerable in the first two weeks. Sleep slightly elevated for the first few nights, keep the area out of direct sun and away from sweat and pools for a week or two, skip tight hats early on, and follow the washing routine exactly as shown. Avoid smoking around the procedure, since it constricts blood flow to healing grafts. None of it is difficult — it’s mostly patience, and because we’re local, anything you’re unsure about is a quick call or visit away.
