Most hair transplants start with a shaved head. No-shave FUE doesn't. We work through your existing length, so you can walk back into the office on Monday without explaining anything to anyone.
In a standard FUE, the back and sides are shaved to a few millimetres so the surgeon can see and extract each follicle quickly. In no-shave FUE — sometimes called Invisible FUE — your donor hair is left long. The grafts are taken from underneath, so the hair you keep falls over the extraction sites and hides them while they heal. The recipient area is threaded into your existing hair rather than cleared first.
Anyone who can't — or doesn't want to — walk around with a shaved head. That's a lot of people: executives and client-facing professionals, on-camera and public roles, and women, who almost never want to shave a donor area. If your main worry is that people will know you had something done, this is the technique built around that worry.
We plan the donor extraction so it stays hidden under your own length, place grafts at natural angles, and keep sessions unhurried to protect graft survival. Most people go back to normal routines quickly, with nothing obvious to see. We'll also tell you honestly what your existing hair can and can't cover during the first couple of weeks.
No-shave isn't magic, and we won't pretend it is. Leaving hair long makes extraction slower and more delicate, so it suits small-to-moderate sessions best. Very large restorations sometimes need a partial trim in an area you can still cover, or more than one visit. Because it takes longer chairside, some clinics price it higher — at your consult we tell you exactly what your case needs and what it costs, with no per-graft meter.
