Restoring women’s hair isn’t just a scaled-down male transplant. Female loss is typically diffuse — thinning across the top and a widening part with a preserved frontal hairline — so the approach favours adding density throughout the thinning zone rather than rebuilding a receded hairline. Many women are also excellent candidates for hairline-lowering or temple work. Discretion in technique matters too, since women rarely want to shave the donor area.
Because reversible medical causes (thyroid, iron, hormonal shifts) are common in women, the right first step is often a diagnosis rather than a procedure. Depending on what we find, the plan may centre on PRP or exosome therapy and medical management to thicken existing hair — with a transplant where it genuinely adds value. The goal is the least invasive route to a fuller result.
