Hair transplant results don't appear overnight — they unfold over a year. Knowing the timeline keeps you calm through the normal (and sometimes alarming) early phases.
Weeks 1–3: healing & shedding
Graft sites heal in days. Around weeks 2–4 the transplanted hairs shed — this is completely normal and expected. The follicles stay safely in place; only the visible shafts fall.
Months 3–4: first growth
New hairs begin to push through. They start fine and wispy — don't judge the result yet.
Months 6–9: thickening
Density builds noticeably. Hair gains caliber and starts to blend with your existing hair.
Months 12–15: full density
You see the final, natural result. PRP or exosome therapy along the way can accelerate and strengthen growth.
